I grew up making art in Ewing, New Jersey where I created my first installation art piece. This was a series of cardboard boxes which could be walked and crawled through and which presented different stories about transcendence. For years since this early work, I have been captivated by the storytelling potential of art. Because of this interest, I studied Art History at Bryn Mawr College. I love viewer engagement with art and am always excited to hear what others have to say about my work. It really helps me to clarify my process and push me in new directions. I am currently working on a series of mixed media and acrylic paintings that will incorporate words and stories from those in the community.
My art has been exhibited in galleries at the College of Saint Elizabeth, Bryn Mawr College, Mercer County College, the Philadelphia Sketch Club, and other venues. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I teach English, Humanities and Creative Writing at Community College of Philadelphia.
